Sarah's violin lessons are tailored to each individual student's learning ability, styles, and learning preferences. Sarah ensures students learn the violin in a structured and systematic manner, focusing on a wide range of repertoire, whilst teaching students the fundamental aspects of playing the violin including tone production, intonation, rhythmic skills, and physical coordination.
As a qualified teacher registered with the Queensland College of teachers Sarah will assess and use different pedagogical methods, depending on the student's age and what stage they are at playing the violin. Sarah has a wealth of experience teaching a wide range of students from age 4 all the way up to the more mature student.
Sarah has a particular skill and interest in traditional Irish and Scottish music and has performed this around the world in various bands and shows. Before leaving Scotland Sarah was also a violinist with contemporary group Biffy Clyro, touring the UK and performing in iconic venues such as the Brixton Academy and Maida Vale Studios London.
